Safeguarding

Riverside Primary School and Nursery are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of its pupils.  

In December 2018, Ofsted commented, ‘Riverside Primary School is a vibrant, friendly place where all children are welcomed and well supported. Parents say that their children are happy and feel safe in school.’ And ‘The school has a number of areas of strong practice, including safeguarding and assessment.’ 

Our experienced pastoral team supports children and families and always acts in the best interests of the children.  We have a child-centred approach at all times.  At Riverside, we work closely with other professionals to ensure they have access to a range of expertise.

Mrs Shearer is the Designated Safeguarding Lead, with Mrs Coultas, Miss O'Monaigh, Mrs Stansbury, Mrs Richards and Mr Warley all Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads.
